Influences
The Great Exemplar
Donald A. Bronsky, DDS taught me how to have fun every day while pursuing excellence in my work – right down to the last detail. He told me to “take delight in the people you see. See who they really are and your work will change from a profession to a labor of love.” More from him: “Be relentless in furthering your education, go all-out to serve your patients and their families and make sure that you maintain your small town values in the big city. Always be the kid from Binghamton.”
The Great Educator
William R. Proffit, DDS, PhD utilizes the Socratic method to teach his residents how to thoroughly think through a diagnosis and to define treatment options for individuals. He inspired us to improve the health of our patients and to pursue teaching as a means of staying professionally honest and current.
Dr. Proffit has also been a profoundly important role model to me throughout my professional life as a living example of the quintessential family man and solid friend. His strength of character is a daily inspiration to me and always will be thus.
The Great Pioneer
Arnold M. Geiger, DDS established the practice in 1950. Dr. Geiger’s long-standing clinical excellence in private practice and lifelong research resulted in authorship of one of the most widely read textbooks of his era. His “tough-love” approach to teaching wizened me to the world of New York City. We merged our practices in 1994 and practiced together until his retirement in 1999.
Inspirations

- Official Soul Mate: Jodi. With her quick wit and deep honesty, she is a complete match for me right down to her top 10 rock album picks. My personal web designer at SignatureDesign.com, office designer, organic baker and mother of our boys.
- Little Roadies: Our boys, Jack and Mick. They are diligent students, sports lovers and excellent company.
- Being Dad: Hiking, biking, ice skating, skiing and baseball, baseball, baseball.
- Exercise to the max at the crack of dawn: running, biking, and a solid attempt at swimming.
